Author of the Month: Patrick Radden Keefe
Selected by the Bookshop
Our Author of the Month for August is the American investigative journalist Patrick Radden Keefe.
Radden Keefe writes on a diversity of subjects, though with a distinct preference for the dark side of human nature. In book form so far, he has covered the conflict in Northern Ireland, the Sackler dynasty and its role in the opioid crisis, and a human-trafficking ring run from a tiny noodle shop in New York’s Chinatown. His latest book Rogues collects together twelve of his most celebrated New Yorker pieces which, he writes, ‘reflect on some of my abiding preoccupations: crime and corruption, secrets and lies, the permeable membrane separating licit and illicit worlds, the bonds of family, the power of denial.’
Have a look at his books here or come and see them in the flesh throughout the month at Bury Place.
